Bison Bulls on the Prairie are not easily bothered - or so it seems, but when they are, watch out. Rarely do we see Bulls provoked, but just to see their size, their stance and attitude, you know it would be a very intense experience. I live near the Tallgrass Prairie Preserve in Pawhuska, OK, and I take every opportunity to visit the bison, all times of day and all seasons, gathering ideas for the next painting. Often the view are groups of bison, but occasionally, a bull stands out, he turns and notices you as you drive through and the look is intense!
