Bison with Ribbonwork on Purple, from an original painting by Joe Don Brave, Osage/Cherokee Native Artist. I did a small series of paintings, Bison with ribbonworks. This is my favorite! Ribbonwork is so important to the traditional Osage and bison live on the Tallgrass Prairie Preserve, north of Pawhuska, and were so integral to the Osage past! I liked combining them!
The original is square, and so prints need to be square (the rules for prints).
