The Old Boys, is a painting of elders, participating in the June Dances in Osage County. The Osage hold the I-lon-skha in June - dances that began over 100 years ago, in Osage County - to bring the Nation together to see family and friends and to visit and catch up. I have participated in these dances my entire life, either as a child spectator or as a dancer. So many memories, so many faces go through my mind as I dance. These men, have gone before me.
