Osage Straight Dancer 1.
This style of dancer is considered the Southern Straight Dancer, the style of dance that I have participated in, my entire life. I have danced in the I-lon-skha, the Osage Traditional dances held in June for 42 years, and the dances mean a lot to me. I find them healing, energizing, fun, social, happy. I paint Southern Straight Dancers a lot. Yes, I do. And each one is a flash of memory, person, family member, friend, all rolled into one canvas!
