5 Southern Straight Dancers; From an original painting by Joe Don Brave.
I have spent my entire life, surrounded by Southern Straight Dancers, dancing under the arbor, during the I-lon-skha, the Osage Dances held in June. I paint a Straight Dancer when I find myself in a lull. My mind immediately jumps to painting a straight dancer - each one is different and very few have names.
