From an original painting titled Dragonfly on Cattails, by Joe Don Brave. Cattails are a long gone clan within the Osage cosmology, and in fact a friend's grandmother was the last recorded member of the clan. Dragonflies are everywhere during the summer in Osage County, large, small, green, red, blue, fast, slow, elegant! Taking photos of dragonflies are a challenge, and then adding them to paintings are fun!
