Bison on the Prairie
From an original painting by Joe Don Brave, Osage/Cherokee artist. I live near the Tallgrass Prairie Preserve, in Pawhuska, OK. I enjoy riding to the prairie in all types of weather and painting the bison. This was done during the late evening of a hot summer night with the sunset in the background - and the bison nibbling on the grass. The Tallgrass Prairie Preserve have 3000+ bison and they are site to see!
