Sunday, during the month of June, in the Osage, at the I-lon-skha, (traditional dances of the Osage), Individual Songs take place, to honor family, warriors, important people. These are important events for the family, to honor their loved ones. I have participated in the I-lon-skha for 44 years, and it's a very special month for me bringing together Osages from around the country to enjoy friends, family, food and tradition! I paint Southern Straight Dancers often, quick little memories that I see, dancers that I have known most of my life! I love Sundays in June in the Osage.
