From an original painting titled Spring Bison, by Joe Don Brave, of a bison on the prairie during the very early spring, when the grass is so green it seems electric! This bison lives on the Tallgrass Prairie, north of Pawhuska, Oklahoma. One of 3000+ head on 45,000 acres of tallgrass prairie.
I live near the preserve and have the opportunity to visit during all seasons and times of day, allowing me to see so many different lighting and weather combinations. I treat the bison like Van Gogh treated haystacks. A true privilege to see these magnificent animals.
